Examples of ‘67’ in a sentence
- “The teacher said page 67 and the whole back row lost it.”
- “Nobody could explain the joke, they just kept saying six-seven.”
Where does ‘67’ come from?
It spread through short videos in 2025, and Dictionary.com named "67" its 2025 Word of the Year (announced 29 October 2025). The exact starting point is debated: some trace it to rapper Skrilla's 2024 song "Doot Doot (6 7)", others to basketball player LaMelo Ball, who is 6 ft 7 in, so we call the origin unclear.
How to use it, and when not to
Use it when you want to join a joke, not to explain something. If a teacher asks you to stop, stop: the humour is in the group moment, and it wears out fast.
For parents and teachers
Use with care. Harmless, but teachers often ban it because it derails a class. Parents can treat it as a mostly pointless in-joke.
